They may stop laying for a bitI'm curious to how this will disturb the egg production especially the delicate girls
He better run to HEB and buy some eggs if he wants breakfast this week! LOLYou mean because the stress might interupt their laying?
x2... I kind of roll my eyes and chuckle whenever I see "dON'T eVEN tOUCH layer or your birds will DIE". I suspect management may make a difference significant enough that some folks have no trouble and others have some; mainly free range vs a bare run and scraps vs no scraps. I feed a ton of said scraps.Suzie, the whole calcium thing is a bit bloated. If she will take it, that's ok. I feed my roosters layer and they do fine. When they are past their prime (2 years) their livers look fine.
ETA: The only time my roosters are on different feed is during the 30 day cool off, when they are in the bachelor pad... They get rooster booster feed.
Yeah I only got 4 eggs todayYou mean because the stress might interupt their laying?
Nope I have a stockpile of about 70 eggsHe better run to HEB and buy some eggs if he wants breakfast this week! LOL

Awesome! You mustf have done something right SammyView attachment 1255867 Yay everyone went to the roost and nobody is fighting they just went in. Of course they are jostling for position but that's too be expected. The chicks where walking around crying but figured it out and momma was already in her new home. The BC's are confused but I will go out after dark and see if they made it in. Hopefully momma will accept Hannibal as her new rooster. View attachment 1255868 View attachment 1255869
