Official Squatch Watchers

Last night did not go well. The Milk Drinker woke at 3:15 this morning with a stuffy nose and woke up completely when he had a hard time nursing. No matter what I did, I couldn’t clear his nose. DH took him for about an hour or so and let me try to sleep but I really couldn’t. I finally got him back to sleep at 5:45, but I had to get up for a chiropractor appointment. In total I got about 4 hours of sleep. :hit

I’m doing alright for now, but feeling even more run down than before.

Thankfully, the issue seemed to right itself overnight. When I unlocked my comp this morning I was still connected to all the programs I had running last night. :woot

One less thing to worry about. Today has been quiet so far. I just hope is stays that way. *knock on wood*
Sorry you had a rough night, Rae.

Whew! I just cleaned out 3 more chicken houses and put fresh bedding in. Was using a hoe to pull the old stuff toward me to scrape out the door, and saw tail feathers in the nest box! Oops!! Didn't notice she was in there. :D
But got them done, so they should be happy.

2 chicks hatched this morning, 1 more pipped, the rest will probably wait till tomorrow. OEGBs always seem to hatch faster than bantam cochins.

Sara has hatched 2 of her 3, I pulled empty shells from under her and got a quick look at chicks, but by the time I got the camera up, she was getting annoyed with me.

And 2's company, 3's a crowd? :lau

Congrats on the little cutie pies!!
:love

That look the mum is giving you is priceless!!

Have you tried cracking one of hobo's eggs just to see if it is fertilized? He could have done the deed and you didn't see them do it.

x2 that's what i was thinking. Blink and ya miss the bumping uglies.

Did i mention i set these great big quail eggs in the bator today? Much larger than the ones mine laid in TN!

Pullet egg for comparison only.

I have, oh believe me I have. Nice blastoderm but no bullseye. I know its possible to get a dud even if the romance is happening steady so I'm slipping one or two in and crossing my fingers. :)

Now I'm contemplating my decision to hatch any more taterheads lol! They were so much trouble during lockup. The doodle doing his head pecking which I intervened on because she was submitting and it was getting dark like geeze she knows you're the man give it a rest. Btw guys, doodle dosent peck hard but I'd imagine its annoying. The ameracuna wanted to pull derp feathers which made them angry and growly. When its good its good but when its not omg...lol! Must be spring fever scrambling their brains. But imma hatch more, I'm nuts.

well I finally kicked the 4th of july pullets out of the 4x4x4 dog house they were brooded in :he I thought when they started laying they would get on the roosts... nooooooo the main roo and some hens joined them when it was below -10f and some were still there
what a mess there were 24 birds in there one night .. so much for 2sqft per bird :gig
The young cockerels are gone or moved, so no excuses for not using the three 8' roosts ..it's around 32f at night now.

I have to share this funny but true story.

So ya'll know my hubs drives a tow truck.....

They got a call from AAA......for a group of people locked IN their 2004 impala.
Yes in the car.
What!?!?!??? How???? Is that even possible????

Every car I have ever been in had at least 2 doors.......and manual locks available in case they are needed.

 how the tater do you and others get locked IN the tatering car?????
