Official Squatch Watchers

I'm so drawn out and tired. It feels like nothing is going right today.

My eggs aren't hatching.

I found out we accidentally killed one of our chicks.

We forgot to pick up our Azure order (fortunately our drop coordinator is AWESOME and is keeping it for us).

DH's back has been acting up.

My nighttime network is too slow to do a build that I was supposed to practice on and the guy I'm filling in for goes out of town week after next.

DH is getting us ice cream.... :) that will help!

Rae, I'm so sorry about your little peeper. That made my heart hurt for you, and had to be awful, :hugs

Please don't beat yourself up though. It wasn't your fault. These guys--although they are adorable--aren't the brightest, their brain is about the size of a peanut, and if there is a stupid way they can find to mess themselves up, or accidentally get killed, they will find it! We can't think of every stupid thing they will do.

Try to be gentle with yourself, 'k? Your little pullet knew you loved her.

Burning poison ivy is a VERY BAD idea. I think she was talking about gathering kindling from the woods.

The two times I got poison ivy the worst was when we burned logs with the oil on them. Both times my face swelled up and my eyes swelled shut. I'm not sure how it effected my lungs. Both times, my mom went to the library and got me a few books on tape to listen to. It was quite boring otherwise.

Nah, I might just make myself some "irish hot chocolate" though.

X2. The itchy stuff that's in it, the oil (I think it's called urushiol, off the top of my head) gets released, and it is a powerful respiratory irritant as well. You do NOT want to aerosolize that stuff!

Good morning.

I'm gonna call it. I think all the movement and chirping I heard/saw was in my head. Candled Six and Mr Nibbles and there's NO movement. I believe in my heart of hearts DH tatered them when he was *helping* by opening the bator during lockdown to add COLD water. I am really not a happy camper.

Not quite sure now what to do with Seven. We have the small bantams in a brooder in the bathroom... think they'd take to Seven? GAH I don't want them to be alone.....

@pitbullmomma had/has a power outage, so any assistance on how she can keep her broodies warm would be helpful!!

DRs. today for follow up on hypertension meds, sonogram of ovaries (cross fingers its NOT endometriosis) and blood work (pray that it IS a thyroid issue).

Yelling at the (not so) DH's in unison:

DON'T TOUCH MY TATERS! DO NOT TOUCH MY TATERS! LEAVE MY TATERS ALONE!!!!!!!

There, do you think they heard us now??!!

Mine got the fear of TheChickenGawds put into him last time he moved my stuff around, lost something important of mine, or color coordinated my closet full of clothes I can't find because he has to OCDishly arrange my stuff to his liking (um, hello, who hangs up jeans?? Really?!)

I bet your DH will NEVER touch your bator again. GRRRRRRRRR. Dead Derps are on him!!!

Yeah @pitbullmomma, don’t have that cockerel tattoo out when you go for the job interview. I know it’s yours.;)

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I would NEVER!

I have 6 tats, but nothing nasty like that. You gotta wonder what people are thinking (or not), lol!

They rescheduled my job interview for next Thursday, since all the schools were closed due to the snow. Which is great bc it gives me even more time to prepare! :)

Putting 7 in with the bantams takes care of the being alone part...
They should do fine together. Sweet little bantams will be good company for the cute Derp.

I have to get dressed and move my motorcycle so hubs can get his out.
:: grumbling about single car garage size ::

You're a biker chick?! :love !

I’m sorry for whatever was making you want to cry and also sorry because now, it’s 2 hours later so you’re either cried out by now or things are better.
I sure hope you’re better
Because you’re always kind and don’t deserve to cry.
:hugs

Stace, just a random :hugs to you....cuz even though you have your own burden, you are never too busy to care. You're such a sweet, loving person. :love

@staceyj

Yup! I ride an HD trike. Hubby rides an angry sounding road king Screaming Eagle CVO.
My son is learning so bought a Triumph Thunderbird.

Awww, sweet! I used to ride, back in the day. My ex-hubby bought me an 883 Sportster Hugger in lieu of an engagement ring. I was a "Lady of Hog," (or Harley, I don't remember, it was a long time ago). He kept it when we got divorced (really? You're gonna ride that girly little bike, with all the tassels and chrome roses? He never did). Only thing that really tatered me off about the divorce was him keeping that bike.
