Awww, sweet! I used to ride, back in the day. My ex-hubby bought me an 883 Sportster Hugger in lieu of an engagement ring. I was a "Lady of Hog," (or Harley, I don't remember, it was a long time ago). He kept it when we got divorced (really? You're gonna ride that girly little bike, with all the tassels and chrome roses? He never did). Only thing that really tatered me off about the divorce was him keeping that bike.

I will never understand why exes do that crap.
My ex locked me out of the barn thereby keeping all my tools. Totally geared to tatering me off.
He had no need for them and would likely chop his arm off with my radial arm saw......... :rant

I bought current hubby that beast of a bike in exchange for helping me build my giant coop. :love at least this hubby is a keeper!

Sorry, had to skip a few posts.

@Redhead Rae what's going wrong with your hatch?

I've lost 2 serama chicks in 2 days. One under each broody. Just found them cold and dead, like they didn't stay under momma. I don't understand how that happens, how a hen can take such good care of them, but then one dies. And Sara's little one was almost 3 weeks old. :hit

I used to ride motorcycle, hubby traded his for a 4-wheeler, I finally sold mine a couple years ago, after we moved, I had quit riding much. I miss it though.

My ex asked me for my engagement ring back... we'd been married for 5 years AND I paid for most of it b/c he didn't have a freakin' job. Um. no. IDK if he planned on giving it to his mistress, or pawning it. I kept it, it's in a box somewhere.

You burn poison ivy? I was always told to be careful not to burn it b/c then you breathe it in. Now I wonder if that's an old wives tale.
We throw everything in the burn pile but we don't stand around breathing the smoke. We have specific areas to have bonfire where we have cut all the trees and brush so we just check every so often to be sure its burning well and not getting carried away.

I'm so sorry about your bird! I wonder if she tried to stand on the edge and it flipped over on her. I wouldn't have expected that to happen either... :(

Best news ever!!! When it was taking so long I thought 'if it was bad they would have known by now'.. b/c fast results are always bad results, but slow ones are b/c they have to wait a certain period of time to confirm that it's negative.

You have my sympathy... when Willie was a chick and I took him home w/ me he slept w/ me. I'd try to put him back in the cage and he wouldn't shut up (too cold) so I'd bring him back to bed w/ me. I was clothed, but he pooped all night long, under the blankets on my chest. He was very cuddly back then, but now he's a turdface.
I also had several sickly babies that were from the forsaken mail delivery last spring. I slept w/ one, waking up every hour to try to get her to drink & to check on the others. That one I put in my shirt, and stuck paper towels under her since her poop was very liquidy. The things we do for our birds.
I hope you got to enjoy a nice long shower after all of that... What happened w/ the interview?

Sorry you had a bad day, I hope today is better... and if it's not, toss some booze on the ice cream tonight.

I think these 5 mixed flock eggs that should have started hatching on Wednesday are doomed to fail. They started in the cheapo incubator and I have a hard time keeping the humidity low enough in that incubator. So their air cells aren't all that big. I think one was dead already when I last candled. The other four had wiggly babies, but a LOT of free space around the embryos on day 21. I'm not sure where to go from here on them except wait. I'm not sure what I can do but wait.

I'm sorry you lost two of your babies. That is hard, especially when they have made it past the first week.

That is just rude!
