I laughed too....eventually lol! Not fun out there anyway it was raining sideways, ankle deep water outside the coop, waaay darker due to the storm and all but one chicken goes crackhead. Had to catch and carry everyone else, screeching and flapping to the coop and then they just stood there horrified. The one smart one was sitting on the roost just watching the show. Haven't seen such a panic since i tossed marshmallows out.:lau
I don't mean to laugh. :lau
That's dang funny though......from here!

Crazy what they freak over. :hmm
Radish tops? Cool beans!
A radish left on? AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!! Mass panic!

I really love your chickens!

Look what I got in my email. I have 5 lavender guineas and 4 EEs coming.

Chickens are so funny!

My babies have been doing this thing that cracks me up, when I let them out of their cage into the run.

I have this upside-down "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" container in there that I use as a feed scoop. I forgot to bring it in. It is bright yellow and red, and Iguess they like the colors.

They gather around it and beak it incessantly like it's a drum.Sometimes three, sometimes five. They peck, peck, peck it, like tiny feathered hippies in a drum circle. Maybe they like the hollow noise it makes. Anyway, it's hilarious, and they will do it for hours! :lau Chicken enrichment, ha. I need to get them more instruments!

I love that! Different sizes and you got a band!

Americas got talent perhaps!

Wait a minute....aren't you the girl who was saying--a while ago--she needed to cut way down on her chicken population??!

The addiction is real, lol! :lau
But, this order was supposed to have 14 more chicks. I was going to get more Buffs and a few Dominiques but my mom still wants the guineas so I decided to keep the 4 EE pullets. Because I want a prettier egg basket.

I'm still intent on whittling my flock down to 60 birds before winter.
