I made this heat lamp cage today for the turkey brooder i made from a big storage bin.

Btw ya'll I might need some hand holding it has been a looong time since I bought any chickens through the mail. Eggs yes, but littles it has been years. Oh Stacey.....I hear ya sister! I'm menopausal too and cant stand fabric that doesn't breath. Ever seen those fleece lined leggings? OMG! I could NEVER wear those.....that would cause sweat in places that shouldn't be sweaty. No turtlenecks or scarves either.....sweaty neck is yucky. If I could wear an air conditioned bubble suit. I would

5.5 weeks old. I think they will be alright . They have each other and by this age even my indoor brooder babies would be outside. And she did teach them really well. They are good little foragers, they fly really well (especially when they are excited) and they know some good safe hiding places in the yard. She also taught them to like me, so I can walk over and pick them up if I think they need help. But they didn’t want to go to bed without her tonight

It’s a good thing I didn’t see this post until the morning. Otherwise I would have had to cry myself to sleep too.
