My one and only legbar lays the biggest eggs out of all my girls sometimes two yolks
Fingers crossed mine are good layers like yours :fl

@staceyjWow, they are pretty! Love your cockerel. :clap
Mine started laying last Wednesday at 21-1/2 weeks. A few days later I got two eggs in the same day. Today I got 3!!
With a couple of my BCM eggs over the weekend:

Thank you WV! And my goodness, those are the most beautiful eggs I have ever seen! :love I hope mine lay soon. One pullet doesn’t look anywhere near POL, but the other has recently developed some nice plump red wattles and comb.
You have a cockerel too right? What is his temperament like so far? :pop

And who's sending me crested cream legbar hatching eggs?
Lila Broody Queen would be happy to hatch those!

Lol that is counting the eggs before they are even laid!

@CSAchook , How could you EVER think your boy could turn bad? He's flippin adoreable! He looks likes he's wearing a beret and has wattles for days! I was looking at him on your poll thread and he's got the face of a hugger. I think you'll be just fine.:)
Awww thanks Chicky! You are a good friend. :hugsAnd I don’t WANT to believe he will go dark side some day. I have just seen soooooo many “mean rooster” threads that I am a little nervous. I do really like him though....especially when he lets me rub his comb :D Oh and he does this really cute little head tilt when he is trying to see past his beret :love Yeah...I like him a lot.

I have one cockerel and 5 pullets. They are all a little bit jumpy. Not super skittish, but easily startled maybe? The cockerel has been a perfect gentleman, never aggressive at all. He seems good with the girls too. Their whole demeanor is a bit different than any of my other breeds. When i let them out in the yard, they forage well, and bounce around so weird looking, they crack me up. It’s like they decide all of a sudden they are supposed to be.... over there!!! They are funny. My first go-round with the breed and I love them so far. And the eggs! I’m so proud of them.

I like snakes and spiders around! I do loathe roaches and especially hate mosquitoes. I will encourage spiders and and any other mosquito eating creatures. Mosquitoes are sent from hell and i invite them to go back.
X3 spiders and snakes are fine... mosquito and roaches die

I didn't give any info about my animals, either, so here we go. I'm the strange one of the group...2 indoor chickens (Easter egger and bantam, gold laced cochin), 1 indoor pigeon, 2 parakeets, 3 dogs, 1 cat, 13 pet rats, 1 skink, 15 tree frogs and assorted fish. Plus 4 kids and a husband. I read all, but don't reply often.

Is Chad the pigeon all settled in these days?

Sounds like they are a hoot! Glad they are working out so well. :clap Mine do the running thing too. The two pullets tuck their necks down and sprint as fast as they can, for no apparent reason. Such funny little birds :love

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear Stacey,
Happy birthday to you!!!!

(and may your chicken's bloody poo turn out to be nothing of significance, or a quick case of cocci!!! FWIW, I got the powdered Corid at TSC, I think it was bovine--maybe 20% I'll have to look--and it was cheap and easy to administer in their drinking water).
So tired my eyes are crossed and NOT because I was doing anything fun either! Finally got the corid from a friend of a friend of vague Facebook acquaintance and had to drive all day through what felt like war zones to get there! Then had to grocery shop in time to come home treat the chickens, and make dinner!
Thank you ALL, you AWESOME FRIENDS,
YOU SQUATCHIEST OF ALL SQUATCH WATCHERS in the WORLD!
I’ll have to catch up tomorrow. Peace, love, hugs,
Staceyj

I’m will you I have a pet spider on the porch View attachment 1543233nobody is aloud to hurt it

There's one here that looks very similar.
I call her? Charlotte.
She moves around the yard A LOT! I never know when I am about to walk face first into her freakishly strong web!
:barnie

I now carry a flashlight to the yard after dark.

Yes that is one experience that makes me scream like a six year old girl!
