When they finally went to move it maggots fell out. So they decided vacuuming them up was the best idea. Not to long after the vacuum released hundreds of flies, into the house.

Changing stuff is how desk jockeys justify their pay check. I considered upgrading all of our public computers to Windows 10 just to have something to do for the last year... Instead I've been doing genealogy. Not that I don't have anything to do, just not enough to do every single day b/c my boss won't do her job and order me stuff. It took her 9 months to order a computer a manager requested to fulfill a grant. 6 months to order a server that the director requested for our new telephone notification system that was part of our transition (she finally got it 2 months after their deadline and I had a week to get it running).Jeeze I mess with youtube nearly every day and I still don't get it. Does not help one bit they just change stuff on me either...i'm too old for that!

I was driving down the road with the radio on and I swear it didn't make a peep, but the alert was on my screen. The radio was going crazy when I changed the station, only reason I knew about it. Not all phones are the same, BUT.. there was one lady on twitter who said her phone actually let her opt out. Not sure what kind of phone it was, but I was jealous. Can you imagine the schools?! My daughter's phone didn't go off, but they don't get cell service there. I also have a friend who's down in Gatelenburg and she said she didn't get an alert b/c she doesn't have cell service down there. So I guess that's one caveat to the whole thing.
The part I don't get is we already have extreme alerts and severe alerts... Wouldn't anything that would be a prez alert be categorized under either of those. I get that it's supposed to be 'directly from the prez & they're the only one who can send them' but it seems pretty redundant to go off on ALL phones.
The other night at like 2 am an amber alert when off and my phone starts blaring and vibrating and I'm just staring at it like I know it's a phone, but it's yelling and I couldn't process info enough to make it stop. And I hear the same situation going on in the other room for my daughter's phone. After that I had her turn off the amber alerts on her phone. It's a great idea, but I'm in bed.. I'm not going to be finding someone's kids, unless they drive through my bedroom.
This is one of those things I want to help with but I really like having ten fingers. It is a feather obviously not hers.
And when you try to grab it, acting all nonchalant they freak out and run away and you scream at them "I'm trying to help you! You have something on your BUTTTTT!" then people stare at you b/c you tried to accost a chicken. CONGRATS!!!!! I bet it was the lucky extra toed chick that did it.You guys!!!!!!
I NAILED the interview!!!! It went so excellent I couldn't believe it!
And when I got home, a couple hours later, they called me back and said it was unanimous that they all wanted me, the principal left a VM saying make an appointment with the school superintendent, and I have it for tomorrow!!!!!!!! Second interview!
I have been looking for a new job for, like, a year now. And I left my old one 7 months ago and have been subbing sporadically ever since. This is great news!!! After all the bad stuff that's happened in the past year, I'm really ready for some good news.
I NEED to work. I will get this job. It just felt right.
ETA: They said, when I was there, that I would hear back from them by Friday. And on the VM the principal left me, she said that they all went out for lunch, that I was the topic of conversation, and it was unanimous!!! They didn't even wait till Friday, and it doesn't seem like any of the other interviewees were in the running!! Too cool, about time, YAY!!!!!!

I'm trying to figure out how they built the house on blocks. That photo makes me uncomfortable. Are you going to be able to take care of it yourself or will you need me to hire someone to do it? I mean, I guess it's been working fine this whole time, but it's really shocking. Did you find anything under the house? Feel better & be safe on your trip. Let us know when you get home. JUST POPPING IN with a couple updates.
1. I'm still alive and kicking. Preparing for a trip to FL, leaving on the 6th EARLY. I will be doing all the driving as it is just my mom and me on this trip. Leaving Saturday, staying at a Motel 6 about 2/3rd of the way there, and then pull in to her house on Sunday around noon. Then she has a DRs appointment on Monday. Then another DRs appointment on Tuesday. Then she wants me to run her over to her friends houses to see them cause she doesn't want to inconvenience THEM while we are in town. (Lets not forget that during this time, she is supposed to be packing up her taters to bring up here to LIVE.... which means I'm gonna have to turn into Saggy Naggy to get her to get taters done.... OR have to do it myself. Man, I can't. The fibro, the new Prozac doseage, the foot*(info coming up), I literally cannot physically do it all by myself. Debating on trying to hire a day laborer through Craigslist but I know my mom will slip up and mention the house(ES, 2 of them), will be empty ll wnter and... I mean really, you can only trust a stranger so far. And no, no friends and no family excpet me.
2. The PIC and DH will be staying here to take care of the 4 mutts, 3 cats and chickunz. I have literally GAGGED at the sight of all the crapola they have bought to *junk food out* while I'm gone. I absolutely feel safe in believing that I will come home, walk through the front door, and find them in their white boxer briefs (now stained to hell and back with gawd knows what), plates of chips, dip, pizza rolls, cheesy pretzel bites, bowls of ramen, chicken nuggets, waffle fries, ice cream OUT THE BAZOOKA, ravioli, cookie crisp cereal.... sorry.... gotta stop.....
3. My DR. upped my Prozac to 40 mgs starting on the 26th of Sept. As it did before, it makes me sleepy but I'll work through it. I kinda already feel happier though.
4. SAW THE FOOT DR TODAY @TexasSam. Xray and an ultrasound showed 2 things. I have a small calcium build up bone spur, but that's not what's contributing to the pain. Apparently, the fluid in your plantar fascia is normally in the 3mm-4mm range. Mine measured out at 9.4mm. SO, I received a cortisone shot (THE ONLY THING MORE PAINFUL I HAVE EVER FELT WAS AN EPIDURAL), and he wiggles the needle IN MY FOOT, like he's stirring a pot.The nurse kept saying *breath.breath* and I told her *I AM BREATHING! I'M JUST CONCENTRATING ON NOT MOVING AND NOT KICKING HIM IN THE FACE!!!*
So, I'm off my foot for 2 days, and yet I still have to pack the car for our trip. STDH is taking Fizzgig to have 2 tires replaced and a rotation done tomorrow at noon. Guess I'll get the small amount of clothing packed up. Taking a BUNCH of shelf stable food, cause my mom has a habit of all of a sudden *NEEDING* something to eat, and not snack stuff.... gotta go through an Arbys or Burger joint or something..... but I got her beat this time.
