From that pic I can see why I may have said cockerel a few weeks ago, but the recent pic looks much more pullet-ish. Hopefully she will lay before winter.

They’d fit in the small priority box. Bantam cochins. Lol
It would take two for chicken and dumplings! but would be very tasty

I can send ya 4 alive! :lau

Seriously, I haven’t really considered processing them because they are so small, but I guess they would be good for chicken broth, soups, and dumplings sure sound great right now. Maybe this weekend.

I process the small roosters, the UofA Blues. They are not very big but are very tasty! They are easy to pluck but harder to eviscerate. Of course I have big hands

Yes SS and Doms are in the dual purpose group.

Ya'll been busy! I skipped over a lot to get here.

I am going to be quite busy the next couple weeks at least.
I sold a quilt that isn't even finished. :th

It's a sister quilt with the same fabrics as the quilt I made for hubby. Different lay out so different pattern needed when quilting.

I will try and keep up but no guarantees. :p
Wow! Great job! That’s a big deal! Congratulations, and hurry,in case the weather turns cold soon. We’ll message you if chickenpoop hits the fan!

I love fun colors!!! I don't sew much but I made a baby quilt for my friend last year. It was SUPER bright and loud and colorful. She loved it cause she said pastels are very popular right now in baby stuff and she hadn't been able to find anything fun and bright.
Bright colors are better for brain development anyway!

I fell through a cane back chair bottom. I sat down and it gave up.:lau
Yes indeedy! All the dual purpose ladies here are thick legged Marlene just happens to be the thickest. Are SS and dominiques dual purpose? I know faverolles and delawares are but doms and SS got toothpick legs. Brahma has tree trunks already though, she is as tall as the big girls now too. Pat has some company in the big boned club.:)
I put one leg through the floor of an abandoned house once! My friend was there with me. I laughed like crazy.
