Okay, I used to use castor oil for scaly leg mites on chickens. To me it was less messy and very effective. For combs too in winter. I believe it was reccomended by @Beekissed . I've not heard of those being issues with pigeons, butVaseline is used as a mite treatment.

And I should also say that without @biophiliac , I may have waited and waited and waited before actually finding some birds, but her encouragement roped me in!![]()
I use Vaseline with ivermectin smooshed into it for leg mites.
