I called and they were so helpful. Didn’t make me feel stupid for asking questions or wanting tests done.
They actually do testing for most state labs anyway.

So for the Marek’s test I need a few drops of blood on a piece of paper. Send it in a Ziplock with a form I print out. That’s it. That easy. No overnight shipping required. Turn around is same day they get the sample.

He also said it’s a better test then a necropsy. The necropsy looks for tumors. But that doesn’t mean the tumors are caused by Marek’s. The blood test is 99.9% accurate and vaccinated birds are not a false positive.

AND if it’s not Marek’s and I want to test for something else I just ask (and pay) and they can use the same sample.
Did I mention it’s $20.
That's awesome. Would they be able to identify Pat's gender for you?

Note to self - *Nunny’s lab test*

:D

Question. Why do people try to correct others when their correction could not be more wrong? And try to do it all snarky too. Like being snarky distracts from the fact they're full of crap.:lau
Anyway cutest thing, Lulu is outside watching her sweaters dry on the clothesline, like deep in thought watching them. I'm starting to think she's a reincarnated old lady because I get lost in the laundry too.:)

Yes they can identify Pats gender. LOL I may send in blood from that one and add that to the testing.

They suggested clipping a toenail to low and hitting the quick. It only takes a few drops so I think I’m going to prick a comb or waddle. Cleaner then a toenail and probably less painful in the long run for the bird.

We're going to end up looking for a good reputable breeder for a Great Dane for DD#3, as at some point she will need to have a mobility dog. We'r are also going to go by what the article about spaying and neutering said and not have her spayed until xrays show growth plates have calcified. She will trained for other tasks, but will not be doing full mobility work until she is at least 2. It will be interesting when all of this transpires because DD#3 is planning on a tiny home off to the side of our house, opposite of the new neighbor. She will still be utilizing her current service dog at the same time, but Trixie is too small to do certain tasks, like bringing her water bottles and mobility work. Shall be somewhat comical to see her with two service dogs that size wise are as different as night and day, out and about doing normal stuff people take for granted and even despise. Of course I'll probably be the main trainer, since DD#3 has enough bad days that everything is more miss than hit. I don't mind, it's good to have her dogs listen to me as well, that way when she's too exhausted, I can give the commands for her. It also lets them know who to get when something happens and I'm around. I enjoy doing the training, and since we'r are constantly working with Trixie to keep her sharp and maintain her skills, it keeps me busy. We utilize the trainer at petsmart because she's very good and it is easier to do off leash work because it's a larger area and I don't have a 60 lb-er trying to get the same treats at the same time. Plus Trixie goes ape-tatering crazy for any treat at home, including milkbone biscuits.

I have several girls that look half plucked
