It was as close to alive as a cadbury cream egg is going to get I assure you. I didn't know if I should throw it away or burn it.:gig
Thank you for your concern everyone. I'll be checking on her when I go home for lunch & will decide if we need the pediatrician or the er depending on the condition of her face. Previously drinking water and eating more salt helped, unfortunately w/ xmas break feeding time is more sugar than anything else. She *knows* the squat down thing to help pump constrict blood vessels in her legs and push the blood back up to her heart.. but she figured it would pass. Plus, it's her 'time'.. so I'm wondering if she was anemic from the blood loss.

I thought you were going to say she had a mouse or something previously alive.

A couple months ago surprisingly enough I said some things that made me a little unpopular with a good fifty percent of the inlaws.
I thought it was over and done, i'm still not sorry and never will be. I won't ever change my mind or take a single word back. Just not going to do it , i'm right about what I kicked off about and I couldn't have done it in a nice way if you paid me.
Anyway, i'm getting drunken "hopefully" messages from one involved party and it is hilarious! It is like this scuz just figured out what I said. Somebody has a real time delay going on. :gig

Some of you may find this amusing. The thread the "silly person" posted to argue the merits of breaking a broody has been deleted, and not for the reason you would think. He got all butt hurt because someone called him a "boy" who couldn't be taught. Apparently, he is over 18. :th

So he wanted the thread to be deleted. I finally chimed in (I had been watching the thread but staying out of it) and told him to report his thread and ask the mods to delete it. Apparently they did, because the thread is gone now.
I seriously wonder if some of those people who start insane threads like that are just trying to cause havoc and/or become 'viral'. I can understand that people are sometimes given wrong info or learn something that's antiquated.. thing change over time... and they struggle with letting that info go and moving on, but then there's people who just spout off the most bizarre things and want everyone to shake their hand and declare them a genius. Having seen Loki do the broody thing, then sit there desperately wanting to hatch more eggs after she lost her chick, I couldn't imagine just letting her stay broody knowing she's never going to hatch anything. It seems unnecessarily cruel.

I know suzi has seen this thread, but have the rest of you seen the X-ray of this chicken?

That's the strangest thing I've seen this week. I hope they figure out a way to get the rocks out, but I wonder if they're impacted at this point and will need to be manually helped along.

I'm proud of you for not cracking it open. It was probably petrified.

The tiny human was doing find when I got home and her nose looked pretty normal w/ no bruising. We talked about seeing someone, she wants to wait and if it happens again we'll get an appt. She sees her neurologist on the 22nd so I'll talk with her about it then no matter what. A lady I work with recommended getting a bp cuff so I'm going to look into that when I have $$.

I have this one. It is MUCH better than the wrist cuff type. You can get different cuffs for them too. I have one for little kids. But the standard cuff that comes with it fits arms 9"-17" in circumference. https://www.amazon.com/Omron-Upper-...s&keywords=omron+blood+pressure+monitor&psc=1

You really shouldn't be proud of me.
FYI....it turned snow white but the cream was still there.

(I would have opened it too & there'd probably be a 30% chance I'd eat it. Not joke. I had some that were at least a 2 years old that I found.. I ate them.)
