yeah I was glad, but I was glad when I seen a bald face hrnet grab a fly too...
the hornets built a big nest 15 ft above a chicken coop though .. when I went to take down the shade cloth, there were a couple on the cloth last fall... They hadn't bothered me so I flipped them over the fence in the sun.
2 summers back we'd just gotten the chickens and my daughter was outside w/ them & a storm was coming so she was trying to get them back in the coop. She was swinging around a stick under the tree and there was a nest the size of a softball that she either hit or jostled and one got her. They can eat what they like, but leave us alone. I had one that kept buzzing the coop last year, no idea what happened to it. We had a small yellow jacket nest on the side of the coop, under the edge of shingles. We killed those off. Every time we went in the coop they'd come swarming us.

those little german yellow jackets will attack for no good reason..:rant I poison them in the nests every chance..one of the few times I use poison... except for the ones that were in the poultry yard. ..2016 birds went crazy and it was them attacking the birds. Fortunately the bugs were in an area I could shut off until late fall.. then the birds dug them up and ate them.:ya

: The sound one emits while eating a $300 piece of Serrano Jamon. This is the sound doves make when they cry.
"She was still JAMOANING over that teensy slice of $300 ham she ate two nights ago. It was, like, the best thing she ever had in her mouth."

Hi PBM!! :frow

How are your bitty birds doing?
How is the job going?

Hi Henny (and all!)

My littlle birdies (and the big ones) are all awesome. My job is, too, I'm really happy there. :) It's such a nice place. Every other Friday we're allowed to wear jeans and we have a "Breakfast Club" which is a big breakfast potlock. Tomorrow AM is my group to cook and I'm bringing a couple of veggie and cheese frittatas. My coworkers go nuts for my fresh eggs.
