Gurtrude will be spending the night at the vet. It's definitely not a surgery for most chicken keepers, as the minimum is $1000, and we could be paying as much as $1300. For us it's worth it, as she's DD#4s emotional support animal. Plus DD#4 is paying for almost all of it.
I declined it for Dylan the parrot.

She would be lucky to have you and your family, ya'll baby your girls she'd think iv'e been neglecting her if she saw how good yours have it. :)
I wish I could take Beavis, but I'm too far away and am negative on space and positive on chickens. She would have a nice quiet home, though. No roo, no care if she went broody, lots of love, etc.
There is a family that will take her, very small flock only two hens. They have a rooster but he's got his own pad away from the girls.
She stays here until she is healed though, can't have her start a new life with a disadvantage. :)

:hugs Always sad to have to rehome a beloved bird due to flock dynamics. :hugs Sounds like she is going to a lovely place though.
