Hahaha, nah. She's a bird of the people. Plus, she says to tell you her 3 ribbons were all 4th place, so she's not that much of a diva!

Gurtrude will be spending the night at the vet. It's definitely not a surgery for most chicken keepers, as the minimum is $1000, and we could be paying as much as $1300. For us it's worth it, as she's DD#4s emotional support animal. Plus DD#4 is paying for almost all of it.

I declined it for Dylan the parrot.

I wish I could take Beavis, but I'm too far away and am negative on space and positive on chickens. She would have a nice quiet home, though. No roo, no care if she went broody, lots of love, etc.

I'm assuming so, they have a lot of chickens that they see. And they did know about the depo for the internal laying.

There is a family that will take her, very small flock only two hens. They have a rooster but he's got his own pad away from the girls.
She stays here until she is healed though, can't have her start a new life with a disadvantage.

Always sad to have to rehome a beloved bird due to flock dynamics. Sounds like she is going to a lovely place though.
