I declined it for Dylan the parrot.Gurtrude will be spending the night at the vet. It's definitely not a surgery for most chicken keepers, as the minimum is $1000, and we could be paying as much as $1300. For us it's worth it, as she's DD#4s emotional support animal. Plus DD#4 is paying for almost all of it.
I'll second that thought. Sawz-All here! You cut the opening with a hand saw?
You have more grit than I.
For getting it in and not passing out!
Hahaha, nah. She's a bird of the people.Plus, she says to tell you her 3 ribbons were all 4th place, so she's not that much of a diva!

There is a family that will take her, very small flock only two hens. They have a rooster but he's got his own pad away from the girls.I wish I could take Beavis, but I'm too far away and am negative on space and positive on chickens. She would have a nice quiet home, though. No roo, no care if she went broody, lots of love, etc.
She would be lucky to have you and your family, ya'll baby your girls she'd think iv'e been neglecting her if she saw how good yours have it.

She stays here until she is healed though, can't have her start a new life with a disadvantage.![]()
Always sad to have to rehome a beloved bird due to flock dynamics.
Sounds like she is going to a lovely place though.
