Henny, if the algae get on your nerves put a couple drops of blue food coloring in there.
Alagae can't grow in blue water. I pond-blued the goldfish his poop and the light made for tons of the stuff. The algae killer is copper sulfate and I didn't want to OD him so blue water it was. :)

It ain't even noon and I learned something already! :celebrate
Mostly the green water makes it so I cannot see the fish. :hmm
I took all the plants out when I cleaned it and found the fish doing very well. The plants are super happy too with lots of strong roots.
I will remember the blue coloring though.

That sounds horrible, but it could have been much worse.. at least it's not broken either.

Do you think one of those bee bag things might help w/ the wasps? I think I recall you saying you had one for yellow jackets.. does it catch other kinds of stingies too?

Right?! She's about 80 at this point and really should retire. I almost never took time off before and that was my mistake. There was never anyone to do my notices, except at one point several years ago. If I took a day off I'd still come in and do notices. That was my mistake. The way she acts is really uncalled for & rude. I have a friend here who's also a manager and when I tell her stuff she just says I need to talk to HR about it, but it's almost impossible to talk to her before my boss comes in and she's so nosy I can't talk to anyone w/o her showing up to see why I'm talking to someone. The other day I was talking to the HR lady as I was leaving and the HR lady laughed & my boss walked up as I was going out the door and said Oh no! What's April up to now? Is she causing trouble? - She also likes to call me and my co-worker "Children" or "Kiddos"... we're almost 40 and literally older than the director and financial officer and THEY don't get called children. She's done this since we started here and for some reason no one has ever felt the need to tell her that it's unprofessional and disrespectful.

I'm jealous of your cantaloupes. I can never get melons to grow here. One year we had several tiny melons but none were ripe by the time the fall frost hit us.

The WHY traps do catch our native paper wasps but not these European ones.
Reading up on them there is limited success with some different attractants but those also drew honey bees to the traps.

I am going to set up 2 of the spam over water traps and see if I can catch them that way.

That boss lady sounds like she is also paranoid. I had a boss that was super nosy when people were having a conversation. She was definitely paranoid thinking every conversation was about her.

Oh, def don't want to attract the honey bees. I finally just started seeing them digging through the clover here.

We're pretty sure she's knee deep in Alzheimer's or dementia. She can't remember anything. When she called me this am about the computer she called me about on Saturday she started off by saying "This weird thing happened on Saturday". I said The circ computer? Yeah, you called me at home about it. She didn't seem to get the point that it really could have waited. I talked to another lady who said she brought her back the same piece of paper to discuss an item twice last week after they had a long discussion about it the first day she brought it back again the next day. She told her to throw the paper away. Before she went on vaca in April she gave me a box that a circulating hotspot goes in and said a branch sent it to her w/ just the empty box and nothing else and she had no idea what was going on with it. The story turned out to be the manager of the other branch had a long discussion w/ her about it that included an email convo and the missing hotspot was actually on her desk in her locked office plugged in and charging. She forgot she had gotten it, took it out of the box, and plugged it in as well as why they had sent it in the first place. There's so many many more instances of this.

Good Gawd! Time for her to retire for sure!

There is no way you are the only one dealing with her failings. I have found HR is usually just hoping they decide to retire in their own.
Life would be so much easier if HR would just handle it, man up and tell them it is time.

Oh yeah.. wouldn't that be a dream? The other day when I handed the HR person the email account my boss should have done she whispered to me "Did you just make this?" I smiled and nodded and she looked at me for a second and said Thanks! in a normal voice. IDK what was said, but after that we got another new hire and my boss created the email and didn't pass it on to me so it sounds like something was said. Before I left on my vaca I told the director that I was going to be gone for a week and could he see about getting some stuff ordered and he nodded and said he'd see what he could do. I came back and NOTHING was ordered. Then we lost an access point and I tell my boss we need to order new for all the branches and she is talking in circles like do we really NEED new everywhere (they end of support in Sept & they're 6 years old) and I say yes. Then she's asking what brand.. we had Cisco, get the new version of what we have and quit screwing around. It's not that hard!!!!! She talks to the Director who says buy whatever you need and she's telling me that like she's actually going to buy something but we know she won't.
When she's gone I'm going to be all over buying stuff. We have networking switches that are more than 11 years old, in use. Barcode scanners that we've had for almost 20 years. This is not normal. We have people using keyboards that are almost 20 years old b/c we need that style of keyboard to terminate the barcode scanner connector.
If I'm still working here when I'm 80, kick my butt out the door and drive me to the nursing home.

x2 w/ the girl... no saddle feathers. That tail and stance is pretty upright though.. Still going to girl. I'd be watching for a squat.
