My mind wanders but if I'm answering in the right place- I think Ron asked about postage stamps. Our grocery store (Albertson) sells a book of stamps (I think it's 20) at the same price as the post office. I get the "forever" stamps which allegedly can be used "forever"(or until they run out) even if there is yet another postage stamp increase. Walgreens does also but, don't know if they tack on an extra charge.
The bus won't take me to the post office, so this is a blessing. I'm a person that does send cards and letters. The women on the bus do not. Dispatcher won't let me go to P.O. on the bus because he says no on else wants to go.
Used to walk the 5.5 mile distance myself but, NOT in winter .
