All the dryer electronics check out ok.
The ONLY thing I found is one drum roller is kinda sticky. If that is causing drag on the drum the motor can be overheating and trigger its internal overload switch. If that is it but if I replace motor, rollers, idler, and belt the total cost is still under $100.

It will run a partial cycle then stop while time is left on the timer. HOWEVER it is only doing it occasionally....and it seems to be ok if laundry is switched out and it gets restarted while already warm.
The lower drum roller has a little resistance but turns readily. The upper drum roller freewheels as it should.

I may put it back together in the morning and do that. It could save me the cost of a motor.

I would never take apart a living dryer! Mine is doing the death twitches.
They really are pretty simple. I do have 25 years experience as a test tech/repair tech on much more complicated stuff though.

My hubs and son keep saying "just buy a new one".
I see no reason to as my labor is free and the parts to fix it are under $100.

I went ahead and ordered the parts. It will be a week or more before they get here. I will put it back together to limp along for now.

I definitely choose more basic models. I want nothing to do with computerized digital carp. to much to go wrong that takes special equipment to diagnose.
