I've been to that area a few times, my college was headquartered in Wiesbaden but I spent most of my time about 2 1/2 hours west of him.

I can already tell those CX are little piggies. I've never seen chicks more voracious. They were trying to eat the bedding in their shipping box.
 
I don't think I've ever worked with that strain, let me know how you do on feed conversion, mortality, etc please. Also average carcass weight.
Will do. I got them from Cackle, They were in the mail for about 24hrs, which was awesome! Did you keep them separate from your layers or did you raise them together, at least to start.

I've done it both ways. I think they learn to forage better when there's heritage birds with them to teach. Can't prove it, just an observation that I didn't document.
