I’m hoping the probe fits in that slot for where the humidity tube would go.For the quality/size, no you can't beat the price. Humidity is one of the things that doesn't have to be spot on. Temperature on the other hand.... is essential! I personally don't like getting my Brinsea dirty with hatching because they are so hard to clean (too many nooks and crannies and the chick dander gets all over the inside of the lid, you can tell in my EX pics below that I used it for hatching). So I use my Frankenbators for hatching. At the end of incubation, the chicks can stand a swing of a couple of degrees. Early on, they really can't take it. They are the best incubator out there until you get into cabinet incubators. I'm not quite ready for a cabinet yet. I think I would get myself into some real trouble if I got one of those. LOL
For a place to put the probe where you don't block your humidity control dial, there is a hole on the upper right hand side of the lid.

It is where the humidity pump drip goes on the EX model.

I still have the wonky bator that I may fire up before hatch. Then they can dry off in there. I’m afraid to let them actually go into lockdown in it since that’s when everything went wrong last time.
