Ok coffee in, dogs settled, day started.

We are COLD and wet outside.

River goes in at 8am for her spay. I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried. More worried about dealing with the other 4 while she is recovering.

I will stay busy while she is away from home washing her bed cover, the sofa covers, the floors again etc. I have some soft fleece I may use (if I find time) to make "sheets" for her bed. I did that for the other bed and man it is handy to just pull that instead of the tight bed covers.

Really feeling that drive today. So sore. At least we all slept soundly and well in our own beds and the hotel beds were actually comfortable so it didn't make me any more sore. I'm so glad NOT to live in that area of MD anymore. The skeeters did a number on me.

Would crib or bassinet sheets work? I know you made the beds yourself and a quick sheet change is genius. Wondering if either of those sizes would fit to make one less job for you.

They didn't quite carry me off but they almost did. I have 8 bites on my left hand ALONE and they all itch like crazy and look ghastly. I can tolerate WV skeeters. I barely react to them on the rare occasions I get bitten. These are as bad as I used to get as a kid (of course we were staying about 5 miles from where we lived until I was 12.
