(Good) morning everybody
Yesterday I noticed I noticed distinct black spots on the two biggest girls’ combs.

This morning I got up and was the first one to the coop. All vents open, no one is actually touching the roof while on the roost, dont see any drips

Okay, well. I went around to the other door which is closer to the roost, aha! found a single drop of moisture

Where theres one, theres a crap ton more I didnt see. The only thing left to do is to take off the roof panels and build them at a slant. Well, at least we have two weeks off work to work in a mud pit.

I feel you henny! I couldn't believe it when I saw it yesterday. I sure as heck wish Id seen the drips and not the spots though. Im really hoping this was a trick of the flashlight this morning but I swear Melbas comb looked white
Okay, so here is how their roof is constructed: flat (☹), hardware cloth across the whole top in case of determined predators with the plastic awning type material on top for weather protection. I dont remember what you called it henny.
do I need to remove the hardware cloth?
The red part is what the roof will be, in the attachment. I have not gone to the store yet, but I see lots of 2x4s in my future and trying not to get electrocuted out there. It’s just plain nasty.
