:frow Good morning Rae, have a great day and stay warm. Butchering a hog is a real challenge and a whole days work. I watched more than 100 videos before I tried it and learned that the one thing none of the vids told me was that position of the carcass is critical. Once I positioned it right, it was much easier to make the cuts.
Do you think trying a 50ish lb stoat might be a good way to go the first time
myself?

Good morning everybody :frow

So, I went to paint the kitchen last night. The paint is chunky 😱. We left it in the car overnight but that was at least a week ago. Its been in the house ever since. Is it completely ruined? Ive never had this happen before. Then it splashed me in the eye when i put the lid on 🙄☹️
Do you have a drill stirrer and a paint strainer? I would strain and use.

Good morning folks :frow

Mold. So much mold. I was fully expecting it but not to this extent. Its under this old linoleum. The wall is pretty wet too. I have no idea how im going to fix this. I guess just cut it all out and replace but i also need to fix the source, whatever that is. Patio door certainly, but roof too? No idea. I really dont trust contractors so —- Im sure I’ll figure out something, but if anyone has any advice Im all ears.

It's 29 degrees out. This is Central Florida we're talking about. This should NOT be happening, but it is. My birds seem to be fine. Dh checked the coop a little bit ago, and said you can feel it's warmer inside the coop. The chickens seem to be doing fine. I brought the one, lonely chicken in, since she doesn't have anyone with her for warmth, or body heat.

The entire time I was carrying her in, she pitched a fit. The minute I opened the door, got her inside, and she felt the warmth, she settled right down.

There was a small wild bird inside the live trap (for rats). It seems to have exhausted itself trying to get out. Dh brought it in to me. I have it in a nice box. Inside the box I made a makeshift nest, and put some food, and water in there for it. It too settled right down, and seems to be content.

We are doing an Ice Age marathon with the kids. The new one just came out, so we are re-watching all the previous ones, building up to the new one.
