It's 29 degrees out. This is Central Florida we're talking about. This should NOT be happening, but it is. My birds seem to be fine. Dh checked the coop a little bit ago, and said you can feel it's warmer inside the coop. The chickens seem to be doing fine. I brought the one, lonely chicken in, since she doesn't have anyone with her for warmth, or body heat.
The entire time I was carrying her in, she pitched a fit. The minute I opened the door, got her inside, and she felt the warmth, she settled right down.
There was a small wild bird inside the live trap (for rats). It seems to have exhausted itself trying to get out. Dh brought it in to me. I have it in a nice box. Inside the box I made a makeshift nest, and put some food, and water in there for it. It too settled right down, and seems to be content.
We are doing an Ice Age marathon with the kids. The new one just came out, so we are re-watching all the previous ones, building up to the new one.
