Oyster Shells For Ducks?

    If you buy oyster shell from a feed store there is no need to wash it.

    I know oysters grow in Florida and around us but do they grow in Washington? Are you going down to the beach to collect them? If so, I'd say rinse them off but not go to extremes. What do you say @casportpony since you're out that way?

    If you are mashing them up yourself how are you doing it? Just curious!

    thats a good idea because I could bring back all the oyster shells I want from the Gulf Coast for free! But then I'd have to smash them somehow which I'm thinking might be more work than just going to Tractor supply and buying a 50lb bag!:smack

    I think I would call a company that sells oyster shell and find out how they do it.

    so how do you crush them up? Sledge hammer?
