We just had a scary downpour coming through here, some of the Duckies ran back into their house, the other's, together with the wild Mallards huddled the humon-house for shelter. Not hail, but raindrops the size of - larger than ping pong balls!

I just candled the silver mallard eggs - I almost always candle eggs before setting them but I got really busy and didn't want them to sit out so I just tossed them in.

Well, he must have a hen sitting he doesn't know about because some of the eggs were already started, but of course dead from being shipped. I sent him an email.

And I mean WAY too far along to have started in my incubator and then died - at this point, three days, they're barely little embryos.

The high today was only 10 C, and it's going down below freezing tonight. So no.
