I cannot believe this has happened to me AGAIN, but I bought more runner eggs to hatch and just did my first candle aaaannnddd the seller sent me already started eggs. Twice in one season, and I don't think I've ever had it happen to me at all before.

I just sent them a message. Ugh.

I'm still waiting on my runner eggs by electricity went so I don't know if they made it. Do you think any of yours might. I got WH eggs that had started. I got a few chicks.

Three of them are developing, so I'm hoping those hatch, at least.

Could they start because it was too warm when they were shipped?

Greeting to all. Hope it's a good Thursday for you!

These were pretty far along when they were shipped. It isn't a case of a small blood ring, these were fairly well developed when they were shipped:

In contrast, one that's developing now and is about six days along:

Okay, yeah, that's not acceptable. Wow.

And here is a short video of Buffzilla with her ducklings outside:
The little ones are so independent! They run around the whole flock, catching flies by the dozens. Has anybody an idea what color will be the brown duckling when mature? I have never seen a brown-duckling! It is really brown with a yellow bib…
What type are your black ducklings with the bib? I have a black one that doesn't have any spots in the bib that I am calling a half Black Swedish but I am not sure if that is what it is or not. The father is black with a white bib and is a call duck. I have never seen a brown one with a white bib either. You have beautiful ducks and I loved your water slide for the babies!!!

You'd be surprised on how resilient eggs are. They may still hatch, just a bit later than if they'd been incubated for the whole time.
I agree, I have brough ice cold eggs in the house before when there was snow on the ground and Momma duck had left the nest and three of them hatched out. I would never give up and incubate them myself.

Australian Muscovy must be more violent than Canadian ones. Mine are mostly all sweethearts that tolerate me petting them, lol.
Exactly! - There's a YT channel, Johns Ducks's where a muscovy is sitting in his lap and another one wants to join, they're so sweet. - Eggcept when they're sitting on a nest full of eggs… 🐉
