I had the leg bar outside during the day yesterday, and it seemed fine. She was still nice and toasty when I checked on her. I'm now concerned about the bantam Cochins as they are not feathered out yet, still got fluffy down butts. Maybe I'll try doing outside at day and bring them in at night until this weekend when it back ti the 80s.Chris, I'm winging it here as I've never hatched this late in the year before. But I try to bring them out when temps are similar and let them adjust. I'll be checking them soon to see how they did over night.
I couldn't agree with that more. I've got no clue what to do for bumble foot, but I am learning.@Duck_life never be shy about asking a question. We all learn that way.
Lucky you! My Serama cockerel's can be heard for about 2 blocks. They are actually louder than my AC cockrell who sounds like a dinosaur. The guinea...yes, much louder. My Cockerel was up crowing up at 6 in the morning
he's tiny so he is actually just as loud as a cat begging for food... I could barely hear him when I'm close to him. Guineas and hens are much louder, and especially in when they see the snow

Hey there. Landed back home and hit the ground running getting this place winterized before we get hit. It has not been bad so far so this year we wrapped the duck run in clear plastic before the snow and wind kicked our behinds. Phew!Welcome back Quackie!![]()
