One time Mason stuck his head in the litter box and barked.
I happened to notice he was out of food at that moment and fed him.
Guess who then decided barking into the litter box gets him fed?
I am still working on breaking him from thinking that.
Man. .you can't make one training mistake with this one or else live to regret it!
Good grief. I'd hate to see what your husband has to do to get a sammich. Do you make sure to starve them first so everything taste better too?!

I ran in to that with the coonhound too. Once she got away with something it was her new favorite thing to do. :(

This was earlier today. Our whole yard is flooded. We are all beyond tired of walking in the cold wet water and mud.
I didn't let him in in a timely fashion so he found himself some high ground. 😂
Then he wanted my help getting down.

*this will probably be his new favorite thing to do lol.

LOL OMG!!

Yikes! I didn't realize hounds to be so stubborn! Sounds a lot like my terror...I mean terrier!

I will say this though...I've always been totally against shock collars, mostly because I'd not seen them used correctly.
We had tried everything with Doodle to get her to learn some basic behavior and manners, but she was just completely stubborn. Started to do a bit more research on the training collars and figured we would give it a try.

A couple tips for best success 1. Make sure they understand what you're asking of them 2. Always beep first, then shock. 3. Associate the collar with "fun"
After having to get shocked once or twice, the sound of the beep was enough to get her attention. Then surprisingly, just having the collar on is enough to turn her into a completely different dog.

She doesn't fear her collar at all, when I get it out of the cabinet she gets really excited because she knows/thinks it means she's going to get to explore off leash. It's literally like night and day!! We call it her hearing aid!!

Of course now he's moved on to snacking on litter box contents if he doesn't get fed immediately when he tells me he is hungry. .
I had to buy a whole different style box to try and change the behavior. .
It has helped. Now he don't bark into it. But he does try to sneak a turd Snack on occasion.
My girl eats the tootsie rolls. She knows she's not supposed to but sometimes I catch her with litter stuck to her lips. Also she is half cattle dog. You have to be committed to a LSG dog. She's very smart. That is both good and bad.

I am on a terrible sleep schedule right now. I woke up at nine pm. Betting by noon I'll be wanting to go to bed. This isn't going to work for me, lol.

The Liege Fighters are in lockdown! I should have chicks on Valentine's Day. Then the only one that made it from the first batch will finally have friends.
