The Quack Shack

But speaking of broody, and going back to my indecisiveness about keeping or selling the ducks, I sold the drake and kept the duck. The duck got impatient waiting for a friend to show up so has decided to hatch her own. She is a nice broody. No dinosaur attacks yet

Muscovies are all fun and games until one goes broody, and then everyone including the drake goes broody, and then its no longer safe to let children or small pets into the yard for fear of the velociraptors attacking.

I have gone fishing under Sebastian (my adult male emu) for eggs. The muscovies can do their worst, haha.

Tried out the Rabbit in Sauce Piquante recipe from @Magnolia Ducks and, even though I had to make a few substitutions (no canned tomatoes, so used fresh, and used crushed tomatoes instead of tomato sauce) it turned out absolutely delicious!

I brined the rabbit for about two hours before cooking, and don't know if that made a difference but it was nice and tender, not chewy and tough like I've heard from others.

For those who don't like or have access to rabbit, it was pretty much the same as chicken so I recommend trying it with that.
