Who has experience with scaley leg mites? It's been years since I've dealt with it. Once gone will the leg scales go back to looking normal? Or do they stay stuck up?

Had it on some chickens I got last summer, and applied vaseline to their legs. It seemed to do the trick but the lifted scales will remain until they are moulted off.

Maybe this will help. My blue, Blk, and silver Runners all lay blue eggs. My fawn and white cream colored.

A normal day gives me two blue eggs and 5 white.

Headache weather here in Big Chimney: Gray blanket on top, warm (25°/77F) already and humid like a sauna (88%). Even the ducks seem to have migraines, when Flaushi Duck starts her broody quackery, her sister Fluffy Duck just lashed out to her and grunted »shut the duck up! Or else!«. Showers are in the forecast for today and tomorrow and don't ask about Pre-Friday…
