Good News, crew: One of the the eggs that Buffzilla has abandoned has pipped:
full

The duckling inside seems to be a bit weak, i have opened the whole in the shell a bit more, no blood-vessels are visible and the little guy seems to be shrink wrapped.
Its still making that eating movement with its bill, so i assume its absorbing the yolk. Will leave it in peace with constant monitoring and updates here...
@Pyxis @Magnolia Ducks @shawluvsbirds - any advice from the hatching eggsperts?

... and i am worried about having four ducklings of unknown gender and two broody ducks sitting on an unknown amount of eggs…

Are you growing your bird's feed yourself? - Just saw the new price for sunflower-seeds, $28 for 30lbs… :th
29.99 last time I bought which was about a month ago

I work at a feed store part time for the discount, LOL.

Also this time of the year the geese are mostly grazing, which helps a lot with the feed bill.

If its still yawning leave it for now. You may need to help it later if shrink wrapped.
