That's my table, lol. And yep, I did put magpie twice. I'll have to fix that.

Buff Orpingtons don't go on the female side, though. They're chocolate, so they don't work for chocolate sex linking.

It's also by far not a complete list, which I do say in the article right under the table :) Just some suggestions to get people started.
AH! I did not realize there was an article attached to this table!

Its brutally hot and humid outside, so i decided to do the duck-duty without the little one - Violeta has at least two ducklings with her, i saw a little yellow head popping up for a second and heart two voices peeping…

If you're concerned about drowning ducklings, try to get your hands on a kid's slide:
After four days, the ducklings navel has been dried up and healed, so it was time for the first bath. The Ducknagers don't like somebody else using "their" pool… 🏊🏻‍♂️
It always amazes me how even a few days different in ages and they can pick on the smaller ones. Once grown they could usually care less, at least mine don't.

Greetings one and all.

Do the Americans get an extra-long weekend?

Babies are doing well this morning, One more hatched under my broody Buff, and three are pipped in the incubator so I'm tempted to switch them over to her.

I'd rather not have to raise ducklings myself, lol. Chicks are one thing, ducklings are so MESSY!!!

Since the 4th is on Tuesday this year I guess companies can do what they want with the holiday.
Aww more babies, I hope the Buff will take them sure worth trying.

Cocoa refused to even get off the nest since the eggs were hatching, as opposed to Mocha (I'm so original with my brown duck names, lol!) who rushed out for food no matter what.

I haven't moved the eggs yet, but probably will since they've already externally pipped.

Friends, we are completely heartbroken!
Our little bundle of joy died yesterday evening! 💔
We don't know why, the little one finally got it's act together, was happily chirping, eating, drinking and pooping the whole day. The weak leg was almost normal and the weight reached the 70 gram mark.
We both went outside to visit Viking and Violeta duck with her babies, then went into the garden to collect some dandelion for the grown-up's supper bowl. Buffzillitus was happily trailing me, investigating the spots where I had pulled out the dandelion plants but then suddenly fell on its back, peeped in distress and by the time I picked it up was cramping violently, dying in my hand in seconds. 😭
... need a break
