It looks very possible, unfortunately there are quite a few breeds that when full grown look strikingly similar to the Gem so it's hard to tell for sure.
(She laid a soft shell egg earlier in the week but this egg and it cracked and made a giant mess. But this egg is GORGEOUS!) For reference, she’s 19 weeks old. Cross your fingers, her sister, Violet, is right behind her!


I've only had one go broody. She was insistent so I gave her some eggs to hatch. She only hatched two, and I had to cull one of them. Another hen had taken her nest when she went out to eat. The eggs went cold awhile and quit developing. She was a great momma, though.Are they broody?
