This article is very instructive and tells the characteristics that describes a respectful rooster or a bad one. I am glad you made recommendations as well on what roosters are not satisfactory to keep by judging off of different demeanors.
This list contains the friendly breeds with an excellent disposition.:thumbsup

These chickens exhibit an outstanding appearance (including the red sex links). I would take any easter eggers that are unwanted if author was willing to give me some! ;)

Article is short and contains a short amount of the chicken breed information. I would also exclude the part out where it was mentioned that Columbian Rocks are a popular breed. Most hatcheries don't hold this breed.

A good article describing the Red Tailed Hawk but they do not get discouraged easily based on what I have seen. One had nerve to fly into the pen when I was in the yard. My 30 lb dog (mutt) started barking and went after it. The hawk got annoyed and started chasing after her then made a grab at my cockerel. Thank you so much for the rest of the information you provided. I had no idea capturing and killing a hawk was illegal. You saved my life from jail.:)

I always had a lot of trees in my area (including the chicken pen,) drawing a lot of squirrels in the run and everywhere else. They are a predator of food managing to grab some pellets here and there but are scared of the hens and don't like to bother with the 6 week old chicks. Otherwise, perfect article!

I was pleased to read this article to actually know there is a solution in integrating chicks in a existing flock. I have tried the "The no panic" method and it is basically a lifesaver. In most cases, the chicks decide to start living with the older hens by their own conscience when they are ready.
Thank you Azygous.

Coop is substantially built and you did a great job going with more durable, heavy-duty wood and using hardware instead of chicken wire.

Coop looks sturdy and secure which means it's predator proof especially from daytime predators (hawks). It also looks like it may be very comfortable in the indoor area.
