That's really awesome! I'm glad it worked out for you! It's great when things come together :) My kids had dentist appointments yesterday. Years ago, they said that my son would need braces. We put it off a few years because we just didn't have the money to spend on them. When we finally made...
The only time I used a harness, I used my old husky's x-back dog sledding harness on a turkey lol. It fit him pretty good! Other than that though, I really don't have any advice :/
Romeo in his harness, meeting the girl scouts
Wind is still whipping around here in central PA. We're pretty sheltered here in our little valley but close enough to the ridges to hear it whipping through the trees. Thankfully, we didn't lose power. I have too many brooders going right now!
I'm sorry to hear of the passing of a BYC...
Hey everyone! Just letting you all know that it's that time of year again and the thread has been started for the 10th annual Easter Hatch a long!

Taco dip is super simple and one of our favorites! It's just ground turkey or beef (we use turkey), salsa (whatever heat level you like), taco seasoning (to taste) and shredded cheddar cheese. Eat with your favorite tortilla chips :) Yummy!
We dropped by Walmart after church and people were driving like idiots through the lot. We weren't getting food there though so we didn't get stuck in the crazy crowds. Went to Aldi though and that place was a mad house! Glad we only needed a couple things. We're not sports people either but DD...
No Batman coffins please! Lol
Good job! There two girls are hiding under the big blue roo's wings with nothing but their tails sticking out lol. I'm glad he's so willing to keep them warm! The Serama roo feels like he needs to be slightly more manly I guess lol
I kept baby quail in my bra for a few hours after they hatched when out power went out lol
Everyone keeping warm? -4 here (RF of -21). Even the Seramas have found a way to keep warm. Can you find all 3?
Broodies are tag teaming to keep each other and their eggs warm too
Here's what we're looking at for the next few days. Wind chills are going to be around -35 apparently.
We had the joy of the furnace going out last night :/ DH couldn't get it working again so now we're just waiting on the repair guy to call us back and get here. We have a wonderful propane...
Haha! I know EXACTLY what you mean here! My DH gets frustrated when I do things that he says he going to do (like building pens and brooders) but if I waited on him, nothing would ever get done!
Oh no! I hope the new one works out good. I would cry if mine went out! We got ours second hand from the owner of a hydroponics shop. They've been running good for us every winter for 3 years now. Our lemon trees have flourished under them!
Congratulations!
It went really well! Every practice I was nervous but it got better each time. The day of the service, the nerves didn't hit me until AFTER my part was over as weird as that sounds lol. Thanks for asking :)
I use horizontal nipples in my main run. The flock has no trouble using them or learning to use them. I keep a submersible heater in it throughout the winter and rarely ever deal with them freezing out dripping everywhere.
Woke up with about 7" if white fluffy stuff. We still have some snow bands moving through but I don't think enough to amount to anything. We started building a big igloo last night and are determined to get it done today before the temps drop dramatically. Hope everyone else is faring ok. The...
