Any Home Bakers Here?

I stopped in at TSC (Tractor Supply) today. They almost always have some kind of good cooking/baking magazines. Today I found the Taste of Home Holiday Cookie and Candy issue!

Wow, full of great recipes and some look super simple (like the no-bake ones especially). If anyone wants some new ideas for the upcoming Holidays, pick up an issue before they're sold out.

interesting I have the new gas oven but it is also convection used that on tator tots
cane out nice tan 12 minutes.. my baking powder biscuits where just 10 minutes a pan

Oh, I love convection ovens - wish I had one! We used to have one in a commercial kitchen I worked in. We used it for lots of things, but the thing I especially remember baking in it were breaded chicken breasts. They came out so crispy brown & juicy. Just excellent!

Just got home from grocery stopping worse yet we have a franz bread store run by the company all at a huge discount like .89 for bag of english muffins, bread regular or spiced 1.10 cannot beat those prices

 

[Lazy Farmer]

For the past year I've been learning how to bake yeast breads here at home. It's been challenging and rewarding (when it all comes together right, lol).

Today for the 1st time I made up a Boule recipe and ran into a snag. Is there anyone here that's familiar with yeast breads? Since I'm here several times a day reading about chickens, it would be great to chat with others that also bake.
