I am in rural farm country in Ontario, and its nothing to see farmers out shooting coyotes, coons, foxes....

The kids shoot the traffic signs... They have to be 16 to get a hunting license, but can't own a firearm till 18.

Deer and moose hunting is from Sept to mid Dec depending on your zone and weapon type.

Turkey is in the Spring.

But vermin can be hunted any time.

Tax 🤗

Here you aren’t allowed to hunt even vermin before sunrise or after sunset. It apparently makes for too many “accidents” The feral goats fall into that “vermin” category, as do deer lol! But you’re still supposed to be a set distance off of roads or your neighbours structures I am sure! Unlike some places in the USA, where you’re allowed to hunt on other people’s private property unless it’s posted otherwise… my favorite is the fake moose silouettes that get put up to catch hunters shooting from inside their vehicles along the highway.

Dept.of Fish & Game here do that with 'fake' Bucks...that are electronically outfitted to move (head and tail)...and record shots, etc. A friend of my father's got 'trapped' by this, but he was legit, :lau He saw the buck, had his brother stop the truck...he go out, went into the woods, loaded shotgun and shot it...only to immediately have the buck emit siren sounds, lol. The F & G made a mistake as they put it too far off the road, so how dad's friend shot, he was far enough off road & shot parallel to road, so completely legit....but leave it to Ray....he obeyed laws, but somehow always seemed to get 'caught'. The F & G officers, gave him the riot act, but agreed he had done everything legit/safely/lawfully. Most people would do/did what you said, shoot from vehicles.
