I can't find a way to express myself with sufficient delicacy in a language that isn't native, so please forgive me if I'm hurting some of you. I've been feeling several times that replying in chronogical order led to very painful situation when a chicken is very sick, and the wishes for improvement come after it has passed.

I don't know if there is a way to avoid this without reading backwards. Maybe to click on the person's name and check the more recent updates before replying ?
Well, we will all have different takes on this, as we each feel, express, and deal with emotional situations differently. So, this is just true for me (others may disagree vehemently!).

I view the outpouring of support positively, even after the fact. It may make me cry, but then I'm a bit of a water-fountain anyways. Despite this, it is nice to know that people understand my love of my animals, offer support and suggestions/help, and are understanding when you are having a particularly bad day remembering a former friend. With this being an international group, this is bound to happen at times due to differing time zones. Someone may be on after work, posting well wishes, and I wake up to find a friend has passed, take care of them and my others, THEN log into FBA to well wishes for my already passed friend.....BUT NO ONE KNOWS YET. So, it will happen at times anyways.

What I try to do: read as much as possible, then make a point to go back and respond if I am concerned (and don't want to post incorrectly if a chicken is not doing well).

Again, everyone will feel differently, but this is my personal take. That said, @BY Bob is quite empathetic (GREAT emotional intelligence, that one!!❤️💛💙), AND this is his thread. Maybe he can offer suggestions. He has had quite a rough year, and may have more insight regarding this than me. Like I said, I'm just a water-fountain all the time with losses.

I love this photo, @LozzyR it is simple but lovely. It shows your girl in all her fluffy, matronly splendor....and having her head showing (face turned) just completes it! (and no real 'distractions,' to take away from your girl, in the photo.) I think you should submit this one :love I'm really not sure which submission would be best: POW, one of the 'Summer Fair' threads:idunno?? But something about this composition really speaks to me!❤️

Lost a young hen yesterday, a Easter egger mutt. Had to be the heat. After I take my test l will work on modifying the shade cloth to improve air flow. The days have been hot and calm so a bit of wind would help.
I'm so sorry to hear this @GregnLety . Honestly, given your horrible heat, I don't know how any of you are surviving (chickens, dogs, nor humans.)Hope you can get the A/C fixed without having to sell your first born, and that you get some cooler weather soon!

Can you put the shade cloth more like an awning instead of mounted against the wall of the coop? A frozen bottle of water under a low roost in the shade may help, too...giving them a 'cooling station' so to speak.

Best of luck on your engineering exam, Only advise I can offer is this:

Find out the rules for exam. If you can skip a problem & come back to it, then anything you are unsure of, skip & write the question number down ...put your time into the questions you KNOW, then whatever time you have left, start working on the ones you are less sure of. This is good for two reasons: 1) you actually get to complete ALL that you know, and 2) sometimes reading/doing a problem gives you a hint/jogs your memory for an earlier problem you weren't sure about.

Well wishes on exam, praying for relief from the heat.
:fl 🙏
