Fairs, rodeo’s and auctions are all around us here. We even host the international agricultural trade show and farm show in Tulare, near me.
College recruiting is big here. And it’s an Air Force town.
Our little Main Street has numerous parades, flag day, chili cook offs, and every holiday imaginable. There’s plenty to do around here (and I’m still bored)

Sounds like where I live, The Potato Festival in August, and the base sends out special members driving LAVs and other military equipment for the parade, and they have a farmers market in town every weekend in the summer.

And they roll up the sidewalks and close shops at 5 pm sharp haha!

Who/what is Madea?

I see the name and think of Greek mythology, wife of Jason of the Argonauts....(He abandoned her and their kids, she poisoned the new wife, then killed her own kids and married a king).

However, I think there's a TV program about someone named Madea. Being as we would need a roof antenna to pick up any stations, we haven't watched TV in about 5 years. Haven't been streaming anything through the internet either, so.....
