I had a-lot of luck with my tent from Walmart for $ 25.00. Its reusable too, just dump out the shavings and hose it down. Let it dry in the sun and fold it back up.

The downside is you need somewhere secure to set it up as it really isn’t predator proof at all.

I had it set up in my living room with a tarp under it ( I have porcelain tile floors so this was fine.) I felt it was to cold for them at the time out in the garage plus I had a broken ankle so living room it was lol.

Fast forward to this batch of babies. I set up the tent in my garage and moved Brownie and her chicks shortly after they hatched into the tent. There they stayed until they were 3 weeks old at which point I transitioned them into the coop.

The tent I found was just the cheapest one available and has a footprint of 7ft by 7ft. It’s HUGE for a brooder lol.

Perhaps this could work for you?View attachment 3544736View attachment 3544738
My dad would not allow them in ths house, because we have tried that before, and having chicks or keets in the house always makes a mess, and I don't have a garage... so the only place would be outside, and like you said, tents aren't predator proof...
Nope 😔

Do you have a secure coop or run where you could set her up in the corner - separate from your other birds but still in with them?

I have a run, but not a separate coop. Let me be more clear.
I have a huge rum where the ladies live, and then I have a big hollow, rectangle box that they sleep on, and she is underneath the box, not in it. Oh, maybe I could put hardware cloth over the opening in the box, make it comfy, make a roof and door, and put her in it? That would be quick and easy.

Next up is some Bubba love.

I am sad to say there was a casualty while I was petting him.

His longest tail feather and a blood feather as well darn it. It will be a bit before that one grows back. He should not have lost it, I was just stroking his back and tail and it pulled off in my hand.

He and Branch turned 2 a month ago and all I can say about him is WOW! He is big and he is gentle. Looking at him I can only imagine how good Drummie would look if he were still alive.
He is gorgeous. Even better that he is a good dude. 👍
