I can relate - I can't get an organic all flock anywhere around here - my local feed store can't even order it through their supplier. So, I mix an organic soy free layer with an organic pellet grower to make my 'all flock'. The brand I use (which I like for those 2 things) only makes a mash for a starter feed, which gets wasted, so I have to buy the only other organic starter I can find locally, which is 25% more expensive - but at least there is little waste. I wish it was a bit higher protein...but it is what it is. I had bought an organic game bird crumbles that I used to mix with the starter to bump up the protein - I had to order it to be shipped - but haven't even been able to get that as it is on back-order since the first bag.

With the amount of mixed flocks, you would think they would make all flock! But, I suppose I should be happy - until the pandemic and everyone buying a few backyard chickens, I had to order organic feed online - and though there is 'free shipping', you know darn well that the shipping cost is already built into the price. I really liked that feed and that company, but since I am actually supporting my flock (selling their eggs does not even come close to them paying for themselves! They
might pay for their bedding, but not their pricy feed!) So, unfortunately buying the expensive stuff and having it shipped for everyone is just out of the question.
