Of course! The feeder is in a straight line from the ladder she uses down from the roost to the nest boxes. There is a little water for her there too.

It may not be a spat. It may just be late night snacking.

Nope! Just slippery mud everywhere. I hears there was flooding in places like San Diego though.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the input. That poor hen. First she was apparently sore from Manny's attentions and no sooner was she starting to grow feathers back when Randy got...well, randy. It was super cold last week; below zero. I'll keep a close eye on her. Hopefully no one will pick on her anymore.

I know she is in the best of hands with you she is one lucky hen to have such a wonderful Hooman

Gosh. She really should have settled into a regular pattern by now.

Sir Jaffar listened to me when I said “Time to head to the coop!” He waddled over there, but all the ladies were still hanging around the porch. He walked back near me and looked me in the eye, as if to say “ now what?!” I said to give them a few more minutes. He agreed.

Everyone is safely locked up in the coop now. Jaffar did his job to bring them in. He’s such a good rooster.

I have hens that are all over the map, and others that are more regular, the silkies tend to be very regular, about every 27 hrs when they are laying.
