Yep I have most of my brats laying on the hay and straw piles now. Sheesh!

But whatever makes them happy I guess, but ewwww stepping on an egg sucks!

Sure hope your wee one with the saddle moults soon, and becomes once again glorious! Meanwhile my hen house looks like a pillow fight happened in there overnight I have so many moulting!!!

I think she's moulting... at least her tail is getting awfully bare. It's hard to tell really, what's falling out and what's been pulled out. Fingers crossed. She's also stopped laying, but that's worrisome, a she's standing like a penguin again... but that started today, so maybe it's from hating the saddle. Who knows with that chicken. Two eggs in the nest box today, Eenie and Meanie. Maybe making them deeper and fluffier did the trick?
