What’s the highest score anyone has ever won in Yahtzee?
I just scored my highest score in my life today 421 which includes four Yahtzees! Just pure luck I guess. 🎲🎲

That is a amazing score for Yahtzee. You deserve some major bragging rights. I'm not sure what the top score is, but I consider anything under 275 a terrible game. Our family has game nights regularly. We rotate between Yahtzee, Rook, Phase 10, Uno, Rummy and on the rare occasion when there is time and we are all looking for a fight Monopoly. 400+ for sure game winner. I am thankful my brother has not broke 400 yet. We are competitive and with a score like that none of us would hear the end of it.

Hi everyone.

I've been MIA since pretty much Friday evening. Rosie finally turned a corner Friday night into Saturday morning and is recovered from covid. This time around it was rough on her and a couple times I questioned if a trip to the ER was going to be necessary over her breathing. I am exhausted and have absolutely zero energy. I have no reason for this as I am not sick. I honestly believe I have set up a infection or abscess in the broken tooth. I am counting down the days until Monday when I can finally get into the dentist. I am making sure I spend some time outside with the chickens. The coop needs cleaning again and new plastic to cover it for winter. I want to get that done this weekend. The way I felt the last few days if it does not change it will not happen. This afternoon I hope to have some new pictures of the chicks, mainly individual ones of the silkies. For the life of me I still cannot tell one way or another if they are boys or girls. I still have not heard 1 attempt of a crow and zero tidbitting. If they are boys they also still have absolutely no interest in any of the girls be it their sisters or older hens either. This includes George. I look at their tails on some of them, maybe it is a boy. That same chick also has a perfectly round head poof with zero hints of streamers. They are 4 months and 1 week old today. You would think I could at least be able to attempt to start guessing one way or another.

I made some; spruce cone in a toilet paper tube. Wrap like a Chrstmas cracker in tissue paper, then dip whole thing in melted bee wax. Waterproof kindling, goes up like a candle.

Currently, though, we have quite a bit of finger width branches from the 2 trees we dropped. I'm breaking the branches into roughly 12 inch pieces to use as kindling. All the political flyers are being kept to use as the paper starter (we've been getting 2-4 of EACH ONE). I have a bucket of twigs next to the wood bin and another next to the woodpile, collecting more twigs and the splinters from splitting wood. Until the brush pile gets broken down, it's adding windbreak and over head shelter for the chickens too.

Clever idea.
I sometimes dip twists of paper in candle wax to use as fire starters, but mostly I just use kindling.

Thank you all for your understanding :hugs:hugs:hugs

I will have to wait for both a lift and one of their open days, these people are extremely busy every day.
The above video is recording the experiences a lovely couple had on Dean's Farm 6 years ago.
Mary, the founder is speaking at the beginning.

In this clip you will see 12 rescued battery hens, in very poor shape as they have just arrived a couple of donkeys, one can't get enough love, horses pig's 😀 they loved a lot of attention. Sheep and ducks.

This second clip is very short but beautiful 😍

For some reason the short clip didn't stay in
Here's another through the lock down

Thank goodness Rosie has improved. There's been a lot of people coming down with covid here too

Can you please update me on the dog? I've been so caught up with problems here I must have missed heaps.

All I know is he is now gone. I never saw the animal control vehicle show up but the last week and a half have been crazy. Between Rosie, Dirt, and then whatever is up with me I forgot about him. I only know he is gone because I overheard Maddy telling Rosie he was gone and I did not question it. The shelter could have sent someone out and I just missed it.

Happy Thirsty Thursday everyone.

Everyone is waiting patiently for Piglet to finish her drink. She is not sure which side of the waterer is tastier.

I'm crouching holding pellets for the others, or just crouching or sitting among them softly talking, and Hazel will go around behind me and start tapping my back, going up and down my spine like a chiropractor or something.
🩺 🧑‍⚕️ It's generally not too rough, but she tends to peck longer on each bony vertebrae than on the in-between parts and that can get sharp! Like she's found an interesting nugget there to excavate ⛏️
Twister does that to my knees and ankles - ouch! The know how to find the bony parts and give them a good crack!

Take care. Vertigo is dangerous as you well know I hope it get easier for you soon
Yes thank you. I have a birth defect where my carotid artery is inside my inner ear instead of behind it, so I get vertigo extremely easily.

I am sad for you, but seeing princess so happy must be a huge relief.

My girls peck my back... I think Esme does it the most often. I wonder if it's because when I used to let them up on my shoulders they would jump up from behind me...

When I'm sitting or crouched hanging out with them, Esme will peck at my middle back (fairly hard, too) until I turn and look at her (I always say something like "whatcha need, pumpkin seed?" or "what can I do for you, tennis shoe?" 😆), and she'll just stand there staring at me, neck extended, sometimes even standing on her tippy toes.

I need to pay more attention to what's happening around me when she does this. Maybe then I can figure out why she does it. Just for attention? Is she mad because I don't let her on my shoulders anymore? Is it dominant behavior? I love studying animal behavior, it's so fun!
