Why oh why oh why?
It is brutal today - temperature highs in the 20s (F) but very windy so feels much colder.
So naturally both Piglet and Sylvie decided to drop almost all their feathers overnight.

It's Caturday and this is my last on posting updates on him. He passed away with stage 4 cancer yesterday.

He was buried today by my neighbour. Where we use too hang out together when all my girls and my dog was with me.

I bought him a scratch post and play area my friend built it for him the night before he died, even though the wind and rain was horrendous. All worth it because he loved it and insisted on getting back up when I took him down, even though he was in horrific pain

Oliver turned up to share aa meal with him last week, it was most unusual, it's almost like he knew he was ill. Pusscat was soo interested in food but with Olivers company he ate a little

Oh, how sad to lose another sweetie. So many ups & downs. What a blessing to have a caring neighbor to give you help thru it all. My DD came by for a visit today & we talked about the animals we'll have in our afterlife. It's a fact we know & no one is going to change our minds .

So sorry, Marie. I knew the end was coming but didn't realize. My biggest bear hug to you!




And tax, I'll cover Marie's too.

CC (Chelsey Chicken) is our favorite chicken. She has come running to us since a small chick. She gets along with the young to the old and is sort of the Welcome Wagon lady to new chicks that start free-ranging. She's 6.5 mos old.

8 months? Oh you poor dear! I'm so sorry!

I think they run everyone through those tests so that you don't show up in surgery sick or with heart palpations or something odd. At least those I know of had to.

Last year I let my kiddos out in the horse paddock, I ran around scaring up the grasshoppers for the chooks to run after - it was a hoot.

It’s too hard now gathering everyone up to bring back inside….

Then a tractor-riding net-gathering of grasshoppers sounds perfect for you. I'd do it if it was me ~ seriously!

Need the Vit D though to help the Calcium to be absorbed and utilized properly by the body.

Magnesium is a must also for absorption. In fact, here it's hard to find calcium alone ~ most are a calcium-magnesium supplement mixed as one.
