Thanks, there are some very important factors to consider when building, so I look forward to reading your article 😊
Me too! It should be just in time for my sleeping coop build. 🥰

"I don't think I will finish today. I will need my daughter to update the plans so I can include them. That might take a day or so. This is really a huge undertaking. I knew it would be big but I had no idea how much work it would be. "

But no pressure or anything Bob. 😁

Tonight I almost got a pic of a pullet doing a high wire act attempting to roost on a hay string holding up a feeder in the trailer. They are not that “real” a birdie though and by the time I got my phone out there it was over. This is a poor substitute but...

Now I will give all you Aussies the “tomorrow” factor, but @BY Bob could you do me a favor and next time you’re in the future check the winning lotto numbers for my area? I’m pretty sure I could solve most my problems with a decent jackpot (except for maybe the in-laws)

Possibly also the in-laws. Everyone has their price.
Just saying, should you ever win big.

Exactly my point, and thankfully those sorts of extreme cases are rare. But that is one of those cases where a parent homeschooling isn’t a good thing. It allows for too much control and influence, and the complete exclusion of differing views. And there’s a whole lot of grey area between that sort of situation and the average homeschooler.

A more realistic example: I have a difference of opinion on religion from my sister-in-law. I worry a little about the degree of indoctrination she is instilling in my niece (orthodox catholic). I was raised more agnostic, but yes I have read the Bible, more than once. I will never interfere with SIL’s choice in raising her child within her morals, ethics, and religion, unless she is actively being harmed by it. I will try to encourage more critical thinking “why do you think God wants, or forbids that”? But I would never approve of having her faith taken from her, Even if I don’t believe it in the same way. When I am visiting with them I observe all their customs, participate in evening bible study, and will attend church services with them when invited. I have more than once had to bite my tongue at very literal and simplistic interpretations of parts of the Bible, or where I felt the meaning of the passage was being corrupted by the individual leading the study group (not clergy, to clarify)
Out of recent pictures... going to have to get busy out there photographing! Here are some Giant Land Chickens instead?View attachment 2413415View attachment 2413415
Love the giant land chickens. 🤣 Is Gus amongst them?

This is Lock. She's a transgender chicken. She doesn't lay eggs and behaves much like a junior rooster.
I think she's gorgeous and on top of this, she isn't the slightest bit wary of me. I was very naughty and picked her up today and put her on the steps in order to get a decent shot of her/him/it.
My youngest informs me that the safest pronoun to use for transgender/ non-binary/ gender fluid beings, if they haven't told you their preferred pronoun, is "they/ them" or their name.

I am passing on what I learn. You're welcome. 😁

P.S. Lock is gorgeous by the way. My favorite hen along with Moon. ❤
