That is very sweet. My oldest found a way to get a pet mouse by using it for a science fair. His name was thistle. He used to clean his hair into a fohawk. 😆
Haha!
When I was in high school, I scored a pet frog from my biology class. I kept him in a nice aquarium habitat in my room. His name was Burfurd.

It looks like I have missed something significant @Ribh, here’s a hug and I’ll catch up when I can. :hugs
It's all good @LozzyR. I lost a couple of birds in quick succession with no warning & it's been a bit of a shock. Therapy now includes some new birds. I'm lucky to have plenty of space.

I'm chiming in to say that even Dr Mark, with all his years of veterinary education, followed by more years of avian specialist education, followed by decades of treating birds, and full use of all the right equipment and medications - the guy is a bird healing guru - even Dr Mark didn't really know for sure what was wrong with Peggy until he opened her up.

We humble folks really are working in the dark, comparatively speaking.
This is so important to bear in mind, especially in these days of Internet 'advice'.
Yes, there is a sequence of advice that is generally good practice, but after that even the experts with the chicken in front of them often narrow down to a range of possibilities and also to be born in mind, a range of treatments.
