I am very jumbled. Far too big a week, far too tired, & far too sad...
Mal was an exception to every known rule of chickenhood. She was exceptional in every way. But I don't think EEs are for me. Come on, now, my chicken of choice is a Campine! I don't think EEs would be a good fit with them @ all ~ though somewhere out there there is undoubtedly the exception that would break me but of your flock, Hattie is my love bug! Always & forever a Hattie girl!

I am going to tell Hattie that Saturday morning. She had a wonderful day today. Was even a little bossy when eating corn as you saw in the video.

Barnevelders are supposed to have yellow legs and lay dark brown eggs but Janet didn't get the memo. She's still a darling though.

I got a video of "dinner" time tonight for anyone interested. This is a ritual snack of a full feed scratch, with some cracked corn on cold nights, sometimes a bit of fruit or rice/pasta etc. we do this about an hour before sundown. You will see Alinta attack at the end.
